Cookie policy
What this website stores on your device, why it does so, and for how long.

What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website saves on your phone, tablet or computer. Browser storage works in a similar way. Websites use them to work properly, to remember your choices and sometimes to measure how people use them.
What we store
We keep this to a minimum. This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and it does not load anything from other companies that would set their own cookies. The only things we store are:
| Name | Type | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
verion-cookie-consent | Cookie | Remembers that you have seen the cookie notice, so we do not show it on every page | 30 days |
verion-cookie-consent | Browser storage | A backup copy of the same, in case the cookie is cleared | 30 days |
verion-theme | Browser storage | Remembers whether you chose the light or dark look | Until you clear it |
verion-theme | Cookie | A backup of your light or dark choice, for browsers that clear storage between pages. Only set when you press the theme button | 30 days |
These are needed for the site to work the way you asked, so the law does not require your consent for them. None of them identify you or are shared with anyone.
If this changes
If we ever add cookies that are not essential, such as analytics, we will update this page first and ask for your permission before setting them. You will be able to say no, and the site will work the same way.
Clearing what we store
You can clear cookies and browser storage for this site at any time in your browser settings. The next time you visit, we will show the cookie notice again. We also show it again after 30 days. Your browser's help pages explain how, and the ICO's guide to cookies has general advice.
